Nancy (my favorite server, and coincidently this one) has a new home. Lord Merlin was kind enough to house her for some odd six months, which I am eternally grateful for, but I have a much better connection at work. So I think I might use that.
I have a new work arrangement now too. The whole MacLife thing did not work out. Evidently, my boss and I had “Incompatible goals.” He fired me. No warning. One afternoon when we were closing up shop, he called me into his office, and said “Your fired. Pack your shit, get out.”
I was shocked, but it was not entirly unexpected. As it turns out, a guy by the name of Brian Loomis that runs a small Apple specific company called Virtual Relations, was already thinking about hiring me. I called him up, and he hired me the next afternoon. Sweet!
So now I’m working on many more things I actually *enjoy* working on. Things like OSX Server, cross realm authentication, kerberos, OSX mail services (arg), file services, color correction, multi-platform apps, newsletter design, page layout, web design, teaching classes on OSX etc etc etc.
So, everything worked out in the end I suppose.
Did I mention the server is now on a 100mb fiber line? Yeah. Rock.
Have fun!
